Nostradamus:

The French, physician, astrologer and renowned prophet born in 1503, published his collection of prophecies, "The Centuries," in 1555. Each four-line verse (or quatrain) is believed to foretell world events far into the future.

Nostradamus began to write his prophetic verses in the city of Salon, in 1554. He completed a total of 942 quatrains, which he organized into ten sections called Centuries, indicating the number of verses in each section, not units of 100 years. Century VII only had 42 quatrains. The Centuries were published in 1555 and 1558, and have been in print continuously ever since.
