Time travel Proof without a Theory.

Every great scientific truth goes through three stages. First, people say it conflicts with the Bible. Next they say it had been discovered before. Lastly they say they always believed it.

The earliest theories on the cosmos placed the earth at the center of the universe. The sun, moon, planets and stars all circled the earth. It was believed by the church that the universe was perfectly ordered, this meant not only was the earth the center of the universe but the universe must rotate around the earth in perfect circles.

Out of threat of punishment, scientists were often forced to conform their discoveries to church policy. Although there was proof for a different theory it was rejected for centuries.

In 1530 Copernicus published his theory that the earth revolved around the sun. Copernicus' work was written in Latin, the language of the church and the scholarly. The church quietly tolerated this theory until 1633 when a very vocal Galileo confirmed the views of Copernicus in the language of the everyday man. Galileo was brought before the Roman Inquisition for 'grave suspicion of heresy'. Galileo was sentenced to house arrest for life.

The results and consequences of future time travel experiments could already be part and visible in our own history. But without a plausible scientific theory and explication we will not be able to understand what we see and how it could possibly relate to a future science that we cannot understand. Time travel obviously conflicts with logic, common sense, intuition and accepted beliefs.

As long as science does not develop an acceptable theory about time that explains and allows for time travel, any alternative explanation for mysterious events caused by future experiments will be equally valid.

The proof for the world not being the center of the universe has always been visible but long time rejected and not accepted as it conflicted with logic, common sense, long accepted beliefs and religious views. If time travel is going to be invented then its consequences might as well be with us and visible for centuries. Time travel, prophecy and many other events might be related. Many events that are part of religion might have some kind of relationship to future science experiments. Such a theory is hard to explain. Trying to convince people of these ideas would definitely cause conflicts with religion and other deep grounded accepted beliefs.
